Overview

This project started as a straightforward rebuild of the existing Waycorp website, with the goal of creating a clean, modern version of what was already working. Once the initial version was live and well received, the scope naturally grew into something more considered and feature-rich.

Approach

The first phase focused on structure and clarity — recreating the site with improved layout, spacing, and readability while keeping everything familiar. After seeing the new version in action, the direction shifted toward adding more personality through subtle animation, improved visual flow, and a more engaging overall experience.

As the site developed further, the project expanded to include planning and development of a backend system, allowing clients to log in, access account-related information, and interact with Waycorp in a more streamlined way. The site was built modularly so these additions could be layered in without disrupting the original foundation.

One of the main challenges was managing a changing scope without the site feeling patched together. Each new idea needed to feel like a natural extension of the original build, not an afterthought. Another consideration was keeping things simple and approachable, even as more advanced functionality was introduced behind the scenes.

Care was taken to ensure the site remained easy to use for non-technical users, while still being flexible enough to support more complex features as they’re rolled out.

Outcome

The result is a modern, evolving digital platform that started simple and continues to grow alongside the business. The site balances clarity and personality, with a strong foundation that supports animation, interaction, and ongoing development of client-facing tools.
