TUOHK started as a straightforward board game concept, with the initial focus on designing a physical game that felt fun, smart, and well put together. The early stages were about shaping the look of the game, the layout of the board, the cards, and the overall tone — something playful, but still polished enough to feel like a real product.

As the board game developed, it became clear the project had more life in it than originally planned. The next step was creating a website to give the game a proper online presence — somewhere to explain how it works, showcase the design, and support the growing brand around it. From there, the idea naturally expanded into building a companion iPhone app, designed to sit alongside the physical game and extend the experience digitally.

The project quickly shifted from a single deliverable into an ongoing collaboration. Ideas were developed together, tested, refined, and pushed further over time. Each stage built on the last — board game, website, app — with the brand becoming more defined and confident as it grew. The working relationship has been easy, open, and creative, allowing the project to evolve without feeling forced or over planned.

TUOHK is now an ongoing partnership. Alongside the product and app, social media is being developed to help grow awareness and build an audience around the brand. Content is being designed to match the humour, intelligence, and personality of the game, while keeping everything visually consistent. The project continues to move forward as a long-term engagement, with a shared focus on quality, clarity, and building something that lasts.
